Mr. Hao Xiong, Partner and General Manager of Southern China office, joined Sinovation Ventures in early 2017. Hao is responsible for sustainability tech, advanced manufacturing, logistics and supply chain investments, including MyMRO, EP-ZL, Worldwide Logistics, Enkris Semiconductor, Zuoyebang, Youdao, etc. He worked for Cowin Capital and Legend Capital from 2011 to 2016, with a focus on technology and consumption upgrade. Prior to Sinovations, he made investments in Chinese startups across edtech, sports, technology, e-commerce, and consumer areas. Before becoming an investor, he was a research scientist at NIST, Maryland, working on microelectronics and emerging technologies. He had over 30 publications on IEEE Transactions, APL, and JAP etc. Hao received his B.A. degree from Tsinghua University (1999), Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Vanderbilt University (2004), and MBA degree from Yale University (2010).

Shen Wenchao leads investments in AI and high-tech sectors at Sinovation Ventures. His lead investments include 4Paradigm (06682.HK), Waterdrop (WDH.US), BitIntelligence, Infiniflow, XunceTech, Bitmain, Bachelier Technology, Nuanliu Technology, etc. Prior to joining Sinovation Ventures, he worked at BAI Capital, where he invested in UCloud (688158.SH). Earlier in his career, he served as a software engineer at Baidu. Shen Wenchao earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees from the Department of Electronic Engineering at Tsinghua University.

Dr. Eagle Zhang looks after investments in sustainability tech, new energy, advanced manufacturing, supply chain, and digital lifestyle. He has over 10 years of industry experience in TMT space, having served at Nokia (China) Investment Corp and also founded Greatwall Dingxin Network Telecommunication Ltd. Prior to joining Sinovation Ventures, Dr. Zhang was the Executive President of Analysys Business Solutions Company, as well as the Executive Board Member of Analysys International, a leading TMT research and consulting firm in China where he has built Analysys Flying Horse business line focusing on e-commerce consulting services. Key investments he leads include Worldwide Logistics, EP-ZL, MyMRO, WINIT, SERMATEC, Mengxiang Group, XYLink, Lixiaoyun, Meishang Group, BiGOFFS, WOW Colour, Canban, etc. Eagle received his Ph. D degree in Communication and Information System from Beijing University of Technology.

Christine Lang, Partner at Sinovation Ventures. She was responsible for investments in the consumer internet sector at Sinovation Ventures. Portfolios she has invested in and managed include Xiaoying Technology, Songguo Mobility, Moji Weather, Qinbaobao, Mydagong.com, Dayu Infinite, Xunce Technology, Tongyu Technology, Parallel Line Education, DouPai, Mingjian Pictures, ChuanZhi Education, Align Base, Leadde, and more than 60 companies in total. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Automatic Control from Beijing University of Technology, an MBA from Peking University. She has over 20 years of experience in TMT industry investment and research, covering areas such as mobile internet and e-commerce. Her clients have included Morgan Stanley, MIH, Warburg Pincus, WRH, China Mobile, China Telecom, Google, Microsoft, Intel, IBM, Tencent, Baidu, and many other top-tier investment and TMT companies. She was ranked second among China’s Top 10 Angel Investors in 2015; second among China’s Top 10 Early-Stage Investors in 2016 and 2017; and received the 2018 China Women Business Elite Award. She is a member of the Board of Trustees of Beijing University of Technology.

Ms. Lijun Zhang focuses on agri-food technologies. Lijun joined Sinovation Ventures in 2011. Since 2013, she has been focusing on education and has led or been involved the investments such as VIPKID, ITcast, Aixuexi (Gaosi) Group, Jojo, Qinbaobao, etc. among which ITcast was successfully listed in early 2021. She shifted her focus to agri-food technologies under Sinovation's sustainability tech theme. Lijun was awarded with “Most Noteworthy Women Investors in 2021” by Cyzone，2020 CBN “Young Investor of the Year 2020” by CBN, "Top 30 New Generation Investors in 2020" by Lieyun, “36 investor under 36 in 2019” by 36kr, “40 investors under 40 in 2018” by Cyzone, “F40 investor 2018” by Zero2IPO Group, “Top 10 Chinese investor in online education” by 36kr. Lijun is a graduate of School of Agriculture and Rural Development of Renmin University with a Master's degree in Technological Economics and Management. She also holds a Bachelor's degree from China Agricultural University.

Executive Director & General Manager, Frontier Tech Fund

Bob Ren joins Sinovation Ventures with 6+ years of investment experience in the technology sector. During 2017 to 2020, he worked in Baidu Ventures (BV) as Principal, responsible for advanced biotech & healthcare and industrial AI sectors in China. He led in 10+ deals including Uml-Tech, Insilico Medicine, Airlook, Sensoro and AI-Prime, etc. He also led AI Lab and fund-raising functions in BV. He previously worked at several investment institutions including Tsing Capital, focusing on clean-tech and new materials. Bob Ren graduated from Ohio State University with B.A. in Finance as well as Master degree of Finance from Johns Hopkins University.
